Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a while. I have been busy with work and getting situated in my new place, but now that things have slowed down, I am able to get more done.
I have been in thoughts of re-inventing riadkilani.com. I came about this idea after knowing that I have to change my site to be responsive. So instead of just targeting tags and using media queries here, I am going to just start fresh. This site will now become a sub-domain of portfolio.riadkilani.com. I will keep this site around simply because of the content I have on here as well as the design. I am going to start completely fresh though for the new site. New db, new layout, and new technologies.
The site will be done in pure HTML5 and CSS3 with JavaScript. Ofcourse I will use WordPress as my CMS, and it will be a complete custom theme from start to finish. While at WordCamp Orlando this past Saturday, I have learned of a couple of new techniques that I am excited to try out, so this will be a perfect opportunity.
I will be building on WordPress 3.5 which according to Mark Jaquith, will be released on Wednesday 12/5/2012. This has some great new features scheduled to be released. Mainly with the media uploading. I wont go into that much here but they can be found @ http://wordpress.org/news/2012/09/wordpress-3-5-beta-1/
Well, I will keep you updated on progress with a single post I am going to write up. As far as release date, it is not known yet. I am going to shoot for the end of the month, simply because I am currently working on a project.
